Villarreal have confirmed the signing of defender Aleksandar Pantic from Red Star Belgrade for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old has agreed a three-year contract with the Spanish club, after bringing his one-year stay with Red Star to an end.
Pantic began his career with FK Rad, making his full debut for the Serbian Superliga outfit in May 2011 at the age of 19.
After impressing in his first full season as a first-team fixture at the King Petar I Stadium, he secured a move across Belgrade to Red Star.
He subsequently made 13 appearances under Robert Prosinecki in the 2012-13 campaign as Red Star finished second in the Serbian top flight.
Pantic will now turn his attentions to helping Villarreal cement themselves back in La Liga, after they gained promotion from the Segunda last season.
The Serbian has eight caps at Under-21 level, but has yet to earn a senior call-up.
