Mbappe ´liberated´ after bringing up PSG century

Kylian Mbappe felt liberated after he ended his wait to move onto a century of goals for Paris Saint-Germain.

France prodigy Mbappe reached 99 goals across all competitions for PSG when he scored a double against his former club Monaco in a 3-2 defeat on November 20.

He failed to find the net in three appearances – against RB Leipzig, Bordeaux and Manchester United – before adding gloss to a 3-1 win over Montpellier in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

With Moise Kean having thumped PSG into the lead in the 77th minute, Mbappe came on to score with his only attempt and wrap up the points for Thomas Tuchel s side in stoppage time.

Weinzierl keen for Sane to stay with Schalke

New Schalke boss Markus Weinzierl has urged star forward Leroy Sane to remain with the Bundesliga club.

The 41-year-old signed a three-year deal to succeed Andre Breitenreiter in Gelsenkirchen earlier this month after completing a long-mooted switch from fellow top-flight club Augsburg.

Sane is currently with Joachim Low s Germany squad at Euro 2016, although he is still waiting for his first action in France ahead of Tuesday s concluding Group C encounter with Northern Ireland.

Alexis Sanchez revelled in the best thing to happen to him after Chile claimed back-to-back Copa America titles with a penalty shoot-out win over Argentina on Sunday. 

With the scores locked at 0-0 after extra time at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, penalties were to decide who were crowned champions of South America for a second successive year between the two nations.

Silva withdraws from Spain squad due to injury

Valencia midfielder David Silva on Tuesday withdrew from Spain s squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia and Armenia due to a left ankle injury, Spanish media reported.

Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque will not replace the 22-year-old who was ruled out of the squad following tests at a Madrid clinic on his injury, the online edition of daily newspaper El Mundo reported.

Silva will be the squad s second big absence. Del Bosque on Monday tipped Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic to replace Liverpool s Fernando Torres who pulled a hamstring during a weekend English Premiership match.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is dreaming of scoring the winning goal in the Champions League final as he looks to banish last season s nightmare.

Salah and Liverpool will contest back-to-back Champions League finals when they face Premier League rivals Tottenham in Madrid on Saturday.

Anderlecht defender Chancel Mbemba is reportedly a target for Portuguese giants FC Porto, .

The Dragons could stay without Danilo and Diego Reyes at the end of the season and the Congolese defender is one of the players they are looking at.
